To specify more than one file in a given conversion task, be use a wildcard character (the asterisk "*" or question mark "?") in the Input File(s) field. Specify the files using the "C:\INPUTPATH\*.EXT" format, where EXT is the file extension of the input files (e.g. C:\Samples\*.pdf).
When the asterisk has been typed into the Input File(s) field, two additional options are displayed:
Option |
Purpose |
Save to Input Folder |
The output file path will be the same as the input file path. |
Do Sub folders |
Search and process all files found in the folder and sub folders specified in the Input File(s) entry box. |
NOTE: The Do Sub folders and the Save to Input Folder checkboxes are only displayed when the Input File(s) field has a wildcard character specified.
For example, to convert all of the PDF files in the D:\MyFiles\ folder, enter the following for the Input File(s):
D:\ MyFiles\*.PDF
When you specify multiple input files, you must also specify multiple output files. Convert Doc does this for you automatically by filling in the Output Files(s) field.
NOTE: Please review wildcards for greater flexibility in specifying what files to process.
NOTE: You may specify Date/Time fields for the output folder, making it easy to sort outputs by date or time.
