Program Options

There are some global options which can effect the overall operation of the program. They are available from the File\Options menu item.

Retry If Conversion Failed Using Autodetect

Here you can have ConvertITP retry a conversion item if it fails provided the input file type was not set to AutoDetect. On the retry, AutoDetect will be used.

Skip Input Files Already Processed

This option will skip the input files specified if the corresponding output file(s) already exist. This can be very helpful when using the scheduler for example. It essentially eliminates redundant processing of files.

NOTE: If your input and output are the exact same file, nothing will be done if this feature is enabled.

Move Input Files After Processing

This option will move the input files after successfully converting them. This can be very helpful when using the scheduler for example. It essentially eliminates the possibility of converting the same files over and over again.

Delete Input Files After Processing

Do not enable this option unless you are confident you have backed up all critical data. This option will delete the input files specified after a successful conversion has been performed. This can be very helpful when using the scheduler for example. It too eliminates the possibility of converting the same files over and over again. NOTE:  If both the input and output files are of the same name, no deletion will occur.

Keep original (INPUT) file timestamp (Last Modified, Created, Accessed)

If you want the output file timestamp to be identical to the input file then enable this option.

Create Log of Files Processed

You can create a log file for record keeping purposes by filling in a proper path and file name. Doing so also fills in the LOG tab (see bottom of the user interface) with all files processed. Make this entry completely empty to disable the creation of a log.
