MS Word Passwords

NOTE: These options are specific to the 'MS Word' conversion method.

With these options you can specify passwords to open DOC/DOCX input files for conversion. You may also specify password protection for the output files but only if they are the DOC/DOCX file type.

Please be very cautious with these options, since you can remove or change passwords of protected files. For this to happen, the input and output file types must both be DOC or DOCX (otherwise no password protection is possible for other file types). For example you can remove passwords by specifying an input file password but not specifying an output file password. You can change a password by specifying an output file password that is different than the input file password.

You can password protect DOC or DOCX output files by specifying it here. Further, you have two choices for password protecting. You may password protect all input files, or only those input files that previously were password protected.
